Students started reviews of Work BC Careers Trek You Tube Videos re: professions that were of interest to them last week. Today the class will continue on - with specific videos below for the class to view. Re: Kim - & for the class -  Firefighter (Episode 64) Re: Mariah & for the class 2 videos Clinical Psychologist (Episode 38) & Psychiatrist (Episode 135) Post above viewing viewings and class discussion (TTOC to pose questions post viewings of the above videos - each about 5 min in duration) students can work on completing their 'Dream School' projects for about 30 min.  After 30 min please have all student groups present and explain their 'Dream School' projects to the the class.  FYI - students have designed schools and outlined at east 5 unique additions to their 'Dream Schools' that do not or may not exist in the traditional school and or post secondary setting.  Projects are located in the Grade 8 yellow bin - under the windows :)  Markers ar

We started class by reviewing work from earlier this week.  Students then completed the below Gap Year Quiz.  https://www.cangap.ca/quiz We then reviewed the Work BC Career Trek Channel. Specifically - today we reviewed, upon request - from various students in the class the following videos from the  Work BC Career Trek You Tube Channel. General Practitioner (Episode 50) Software Engineer (Episode 2) Real Estate Agent (Episode 80) For the last 15 min of class students worked in their already assigned qroups re: their 'Dream School Projects'

Communication is key in life and of course - the workplace :)  TTOC Please review the below Communication PowerPoint.  TTOC Materials: You will require a stack of blank 8 by 11 paper (teacher photo copy room) in addition to markers (available behind the teacher desk).
